15 minutes drive south of Alicante Airport, Villa Cielo is situated
in La Escuera which  is a quiet residential area.
The location is very central for all activities, sight seeing and amenities.

The area boasts  8 miles of glorious sandy coast, and the beaches are very clean,

There is even a large open market every week.
From La Marina a bus service runs to the local beaches
and further afield, including all the many local markets.

The Spanish town of Guardamar is 7 kilometres south of Villa Cielo,
and Torrevieja is 14 kilometres south.
Both offer safe sandy beaches, water sports and shopping at the large supermarkets.

Each has a weekly market and flea markets during the evenings,
and both have many excellent bars and restaurants
which make a pleasant change to catering for yourself.

Fun parks and two large aqua parks  are located within a short distance. There are water rides at Aqualand,  dolphin shows at Mundomar,  and a wide range of rides offering  fun and thrills for the adventurous at the new Terra Mitica.   Just over an hour away is the  busy city of Benidorm.  This offers water sports and  fine food  all year round. Its 2 bays of fine white sand  are always well cared for and clean. Benidorm offers go-karting, ten-pin bowling, water skiing,  and much, much more.

For a day on the high seas take a boat trip to the local island of Tabarca.
3 miles off the Cape of Santa Pola,
Tabarca is the only inhabited island in the community of Valencia.
Declared a Maritime Reserve it can be visited throughout the year.
